Geoff Hancock

Geoff is the CEO of Advanced Cybersecurity Group. In this role, Geoff advises, develops and implements various cybersecurity programs across the strategy, operations and tactical elements commercial industry and government organizations.

Having spent 26 years as a technologist and a senior business executive (CISO, CSO, CTO, General Manager, VP) where he was responsible for cyber operations, business development and advising executives on cybersecurity matters. Geoff has built 17 Security Operations Centers and ran another dozen, including some of the largest, most attacked networks in the county in both government and industry. He has worked with US federal agencies (civilian, DoD, Intel) and commercial organizations, both domestic and international.
He currently advises several Start Up accelerators and larger corporations.  Geoff also supports Congress and the Senate advising and providing input on various cybersecurity bills, laws and Executive Orders, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework for Critical Infrastructure, CNAP and others.
Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University and a Sr. Fellow at the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security. Where he teaches cybersecurtity and business. He  guest lectures at National Defense University and Georgetown University. He advises the Center for Internet Security and leads the Threat Modeling task force and is Chairman of the Cyber Intelligence task force at the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, and Chairman of the Federal CISO Alliance an organization dedicated to Federal CISO’s.
